# Things that are good in scandanavian countries which cant be found in countries like india and even USA nd canada: - High level of trust in society - better environment in schools compared to both countries like USA and India ofcourse - if have their countries passport eventually, then u have a very powerful passport compared to indian - those countries enjoy actual law and order being enforced - air quality is great - better career aspects..while not being as good as US. job market is good despite the low ecomnomic output recently. - Government despite being left or right, is a bit functional - Robust Public Infrastructure: Roads, public transportation, and city planning are usually very efficient, making daily commuting and overall mobility much smoother. - Inclusive Social Policies: Generous parental leaves, progressive work-life balance policies, and strong support for marginalized communities are integrated into everyday life. - Sustainable Living: There’s a strong commitment to eco-friendly practices with extensive recycling programs, renewable energy usage, and widespread green spaces in urban areas. -Transparent Governance: Politicians and public administrators generally operate under a transparent framework, no "worshipping of people in authority" culture like we have in india -Holistic Education System: Beyond just academic excellence, emphasis is placed on personal development, critical thinking. Love how they have distributed the way of studying after a certain level based on the performance -Integrated Healthcare: Universal healthcare systems tend to ensure high-quality services for everyone, with quicker access and less financial burden on individuals. (WHile this can be extremely slow, still being in their country, earning in euros can quickly take a flight to india to enjoy the quick healthcare of india too) - Purchasing power: can enjoy higher purchasing power when earning in euros. can enjoy all the beautiful places in india whenever we want and then can go back to the fresh air nd better quality life back in europe . . # Things that are good in india/ reasons i personally havnt left india: - me being not financially stable enough to make the move outside is the biggest reason xD - have parents and family members here - i enjoy the festivals and culture here(deteriorating pretty quickly tho) - affordable housing atleast when compared to those countries -Culinary Diversity: Each region brings its unique flavors and street food culture, contributing to an ever-changing palette of delicious experiences.I dont know how can anyone survive without indin cuisines once they have tried it. -Vibrant Community Life: The close-knit family structures and community bonds offer an emotional safety net that is hard to replicate elsewhere. (very important regarding mental health imo) . . # Things that are unacceptable in india: - Subpar Quality of School Education: Many feel that the education system leaves school kids with rote learning and little scope for critical thinking—often preparing them poorly for the demands of modern life. -Societal Polarization: There’s a rising concern over how communities are divided. Young minds sometimes end up absorbing polarizing narratives that emphasize differences, which may widen societal gaps over time. -Religious Indoctrination and Intolerance: It is troubling when children or young people are exposed to overt public displays of religious sentiment that sometimes also involve negative portrayals of other faiths. This kind of environment can contribute to a narrow worldview and intolerance. - Poor Food Standards and Inconsistent Regulations: The lack of stringent food safety regulations or inconsistent enforcement of standards can affect everyone’s well-being and creates widespread concerns about public health. -Corruption in Law and Order: A perception of widespread corruption—whether in the police force or other branches of law enforcement—undermines trust and raises doubts about the ability of authorities to protect citizens effectively. -Outdated Judicial Attitudes: There is often a critique of the judiciary having judges with more orthodox or traditional mindsets, which might result in a slower pace of progressive legal reforms and fair treatment for all. -Risk of Communal Violence: With a society that sometimes teeters on the edge of religious tension, the potential for conflicts to escalate into communal riots—such as between Hindus and Muslims—creates an undercurrent of insecurity. -Low Levels of Trust in Society: When public trust is minimal, it contributes to a stressful and uncertain day-to-day life. This lack of trust affects everything from business interactions to how neighbors relate to one another. -Unexpected Policy Shifts: Sudden and drastic reforms—like demonetisation—can severely disrupt ordinary lives without adequate warning or preparation, leaving many citizens grappling with unexpected hardships. -Widespread Lack of Civic Sense: Whether it’s litter in public spaces, disregard for communal property, or an overall absence of community-minded behavior, the lack of civic responsibility undermines the quality of life and hampers societal progress. . # While the capitalistic people would enjoy countries like US, or even India more due to lesser tax etc, people who value a better quality of life/ peaceful life should choose the scandanavian countries anyday. Also people have different worldviews and way of living, so some pros and cons can affect someone more than others so choice can be made accordingly. Despite the cons, india is still amongs tho most livable countries out there (atleast so far..not sure about future) .
